MIDFORD MANOR CARE HOME
BATH, SOMERSET
Midford Manor is a luxurious residential, dementia and nursing care home situated on the outskirts of the spa town of Bath in Somerset. It is a new purpose-built care home for 80 residents with a variety of amenities on hand including a homely café, celebrations bar, luxurious hair salon, restaurant style dining and much more.
The brief was to design bespoke furniture which met all the high-quality requirements of a Hallmark Care Home. The furniture design takes inspiration from Bath’s history and architecture, whilst maintaining a luxurious and contemporary feel.
Hallmark Luxury Care Homes selected a range of Shackletons upholstered furniture, dining tables and bedroom furniture to be used throughout the home due to the high quality and choice of styles available. The brief was for classic yet modern furniture that would create an elevated environment. Newly designed pieces were chosen including the Ashbourne ottoman for the reception area and for selected bedroom suites the Marlow Dementia range, which includes a Perspex vision panel on cupboard door and drawer fronts so residents can see their belongings.
Bespoke Cabinetry
In addition, Hallmark were looking to create bespoke furniture to add signature pieces to the home. Elodie Preston, designer for Hallmark commented; “Shackletons met us with enthusiasm at the challenge of creating these unique pieces.”
Bespoke cabinetry pieces created included curved banquette seating, walk-in wardrobes and fitted bedroom furniture. The bespoke cabinetry pieces were designed by Shackletons design team in collaboration with Hallmark. The bespoke cabinetry was manufactured at our cabinetry factory in Leeds and the installation was overseen by our project management team along with the delivery and fit-out for the upholstered, dining and bedroom furniture.
