Shackletons Team Step Out for the Leeds Memory Walk

On a bright and beautiful Sunday morning, over 20 members of the Shackletons family, including colleagues, friends, family, and even a few four-legged companions, came together to take part in the Leeds Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer’s Society

The annual event took place at the stunning Temple Newsam estate, a historic Tudor-Jacobean mansion set amongst 1,500 acres of parkland, gardens, and woodland. With its sweeping views and vibrant autumn colours, it was the perfect setting for a day of community, reflection, and purpose.

Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society holds special meaning for Shackletons. As a company deeply rooted in designing and crafting furniture for senior living and care environments, we see first-hand the challenges faced by those living with dementia and the incredible work being done by carers and care teams every day. Many of us also walked in memory of loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s, making the day even more personal and poignant.

Donna Bellingham, CEO of Shackletons, shared her thoughts on the team’s achievement:

“I’m so proud of everyone who took part in the Memory Walk. It was inspiring to see our colleagues, families, and friends come together to support such an important cause. Alzheimer’s touches so many lives, and it’s a privilege for Shackletons to play a small part in helping raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.”

Together, the team completed the walk with smiles, stories, and a shared sense of purpose — a true reflection of Shackletons’ community spirit.
