A Closer Look…
We are excited to share some recently completed care home projects, showcasing how considered bespoke cabinetry can elevate care environments.
A Bespoke Bookcase Designed for Quiet Comfort
As part of a recent care home project, our team was tasked with designing and crafting a built-in bookcase for a quiet lounge area. The brief called for an integrated arched ceiling nook, perfectly proportioned to frame two Orto High Back Chairs and the Montreal Lamp Table, creating an inviting space for relaxation and reading.
Inspired by the refined detailing of our Claydon bedroom range, the bookcase features a combination of open shelving with gallery rails and cupboard storage. The bookcase was manufactured by our skilled cabinetmakers at our Leeds-based factory, where exceptional care was taken to achieve a seamless appearance, including precision-engineered gallery rails with no visible fixings for a flawless finish.
The completed bookcase exudes timeless elegance, finished in Cashmere with Nebraska Oak tops and shelves, blending beautifully with its surrounding interior and delivering both form and function.
The client was delighted with the results, complementing the quality, craftsmanship and service provided by the delivery and fitting teams.
Bespoke Bedroom Furniture with Elegant, Space-Saving Design
As part of a refurbishment of 49 bedrooms, a care home in London required in-built wardrobes and bespoke cabinetry to maximise the space available in this Georgian home. Using Shackletons Arlington bedroom range as inspiration, bespoke bedroom cabinetry was designed, which was finished in Cashmere with Grey Nordic with a brass handle for a calm and soothing aesthetic. The built-in wardrobes featured integrated recessed LED lighting, and built-in storage included open shelving along with integrated appliances including TVs and fridges.
The cabinetry was finished in a soft Cashmere and Grey Nordic palette, paired with elegant brass handles to evoke a warm and restful feel. Built-in wardrobes included integrated recessed LED lighting, and the bespoke cabinetry featured a mix of open shelving, concealed storage, and integrated appliances such as TVs and fridges, designed to enhance convenience without compromising on style.
The lead interior designer on the project commented, “The finished bedrooms feel luxurious, and we are delighted with bespoke cabinetry which perfectly complements the interior.”
A Stylish Bespoke Bar For Socialising
Our brief was to design a bespoke bar area that would serve as a central feature in the home; an inviting space where residents could gather, unwind, and socialise. The bar needed to combine elegance with practicality, incorporating essential features such as an integrated fridge, space for a coffee machine, and a sink.
The completed bar is crafted in a sophisticated Stone Grey finish and topped with a durable Vicenza Oak laminate worktop. The front of the bar features a grooved detail panel to add visual interest. The slim back section showcases subtle grooved panel detailing for added visual appeal, while the slimline back section features open shelving with toughened glass for displaying drinks and glassware. A central mirror and recessed spotlights enhance the atmosphere and ensure the bar is well-lit and welcoming.
Behind the bar, Shaker-style cupboards with inset carcasses offer generous storage, alongside a built-in display fridge for chilled drinks. The bar is complemented by matching Stone Grey barstools from Shackletons, providing comfortable seating for up to four residents. The surrounding area also features additional tables and seating, making it a versatile and inclusive social hub
