The Applewood is a purpose built 78-bedroom care home in Giffard Park, offering high-quality residential, and residential dementia care. The home is split across three communities, each reflecting the area’s rich heritage and natural surroundings, while embracing a fresh, modern approach to interior design and furnishings.
HC-One partnered with Shackletons to provide furniture for The Applewood’s communal areas and deluxe bedroom suites. This included chairs, sofas and occasional furniture for lounges, dining furniture, bedroom chairs, bespoke bench seating and custom-built bedroom cabinetry tailored specifically for the space.
Communal spaces at The Applewood were carefully designed to be both functional and inviting. The café bistro, cinema, hair and beauty salon, private dining room, and library all feature a considered blend of textures, lighting, and artwork. Each room has its own distinctive character, curated with furniture and fabrics selected to enhance the sense of warmth and homeliness throughout the home.
In the Deluxe Suites, Shackletons created bespoke walk-in wardrobes and en-suite cabinetry. These made-to-measure solutions maximise space and offer both elegance and practicality.
