Shackletons is a heritage brand and thriving family business with a strong focus on design, craft, quality and exceptional service. For over 60 years, we have been designing and handcrafting superior quality upholstered furniture and cabinetry for care and senior living.

Our success would not be possible without the skills and dedication of our people. We have over 100 Shackletons colleagues across our sites including at our head office and upholstery factory in Dewsbury, our cabinetry factory in Leeds and our retail store in Batley.

Roles at Shackletons

UPHOLSTERY MANUFACURING

At our factory in Dewsbury, we handcraft our wide range of upholstered chairs, sofas and ottomans. Every piece of furniture is handmade to the customers specification in their chosen fabric. Our fabric cutters, seamstresses and upholsterers still use many traditional furniture making techniques.

We have a variety of roles from fabric cutters, sewers, polishers and upholsterers through to development, quality control and logistics.

CABINETRY MANUFACURING

At our cabinetry factory in Leeds, we manufacture and assemble our growing range of bedroom furniture, tables, sideboards and bespoke cabinetry.

There are a variety of roles such machine operator, cabinet maker, joiner and assembler.

HEAD OFFICE OPPORTUNITIES

Our offices in Dewsbury and Leeds are home to the support functions across the business including customer service, purchasing, finance, design, project management and marketing.

Our sales team are out on the road meeting with customers across care and senior living to discuss new builds and refurbishment projects. They are proud to showcase our manufacturing expertise and product breadth at our showroom in Dewsbury.
