Shackletons aim is to be the market leader in service, product innovation and reputation. Our Customer Care team are pivotal in helping us reach this aim. Due to growth, we are recruiting for a full-time Customer Care Advisor, based at our head office in Dewsbury.

Role Overview

To provide a dedicated, attentive & knowledgeable level of customer service in line with the core values and aims of Shackletons. The role is varied and deals with all aspects of the sales order process from initial enquiry through to delivery and customer satisfaction. Ability to multi task and meet the demands of several customers is a must in this position. Required to work closely with Regional Sales Managers as an internal point of contact for both their customers and themselves.  Shackletons aim is to be the market leader in service, product innovation and reputation; this role is crucial in helping Shackletons reach this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customers by telephone, email and occasionally face to face
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries
  • Prepare and check quotations
  • Prepare and check customer orders
  • Obtain missing information to be able to prepare quotes and sales orders
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Handle, log and resolve customer complaints
  • Communicate raw material delays to customers and process amendments to sales orders
  • Send out brochures and fabric/wood finish samples
  • Book in customer deliveries
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments

 Key Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
  • Ability to problem solve
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a close working group in an open office environment
  • Proficient with the following software:
    • Outlook
    • Excel

Experience Required

  • Customer Service & Administration
