Worsnop House, Colchester.
Complete re-vamp of communal areas.
Part of the Colchester Borough Homes investment in modernity and efficiency.
Shackletons were chosen to work with Colchester Borough Homes as part of a three million pound revamp of sheltered housing for the elderly throughout the borough.
Working on the complete refurbishment and modernisation of the 1970’s built Worsnop House; Shackletons took on the task of re-vamping the communal areas to reflect Colchester Borough Homes investment in modernity and efficiency.
Ruth Hamnett, Adaptations Manager says: “Working with Shackletons really worked for us. After completion we held an open day to allow people to see the transformation for themselves. I have to say it was extremely positive and the re-furb really did encouraged people to want to live at Worsnop.”
The Shackletons team completed the re-furbishment of the lobby, communal lounge and dining area, quite lounge, private dining room, guest room and conservatory.
Ruth adds: “Our priority was to achieve modernity through an upgrade without the use of an overly modern style; rather something that represented a homely feel. Shackletons helped us achieve this."
