The latest Pacific Care purpose built and designed care home, Mosswood Care Home in Linwood, Scotland focuses on dignity and privacy  to provide an environment residents can call their own.

“We wanted to create a homely environment, a place that residents can call their own. Shackletons certainly created this for us; it’s just what we were looking for.” Says John Brawley, director at Pacific Care.

Shackletons were hired to furnish the 4.2 million project with bespoke furniture for the home’s bedrooms, lounges and dining areas.

In total 700 individual items of furniture were manufactured and installed. From high seat chairs, to divan beds and occasional furniture, all 71 rooms were tastefully furnished to reflect the high standards of care received.  Special attention was also given to furniture that would maintain independent living for residents with dementia.

Jason Bloom, National Sales Manager at Shackletons says: “Mosswood has been designed with the dignity and privacy of each resident in mind. Our role was to consider and provide furniture that would fit with that ethos and complement the high level of care provided.  We’ve definitely achieved that and hope the furniture will be enjoyed and shared by residents and their families for many years.”
